Already completed Mahjong 101 and ready to take your game to the next level? Join our Guided Play sessions — the perfect bridge between beginner lessons and open play. This relaxed, social setting gives you a chance to put your new skills into action with the support of our certified instructors, who will be on hand to guide you through gameplay, answer questions, and help boost your confidence with each round.

What is Mahjong?
Mahjong is more than just a game; it’s a centuries old tradition originating in China. This strategic and beautiful tile game blends elements of strategy, calculation and a little luck, creating an addictively engaging experience.

In the 1920’s, Mahjong found it’s way to the US finding its fame in social circles as a chic, sophisticated activity. In 1937, the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) was standardized in New York City by Jewish American women who wanted to standardize the inconsistent rules.
